Where to find Santa???
It is coming up to that time of year again isn’t it? The leaves have fallen the rain is coming thick and fast and all of us parents are stressing about how much time we need to fit it all in before the big day. The decorations are out in the shops, it’s all go go go.
I love Christmas personally, we all go around to my parents house and have a big warm cosy dinner, a couple of drinks down the pub and some games, it is one of my favourite days of the year. Everyone is together! The lead up to that is much more tricky, especially where there are little ones concerned.
So with all of that in mind I thought i would write about where to find Santa, so your little darlings can tell him all about what is on their list!
First off, i think it depends on the age of your child. Tiny babies and toddlers don’t seem to be too keen on Santa, they dont understand very well and my three always cried when we saw him. Being mindful of that Gymboree in St. Albans town centre, always has a Christmas party which is muc more fun for them. They can have their photos taken play games and sing songs and generally have a great time. Check out their Facebook feed for upcoming information. https://www.facebook.com/Gymboreeclassesstalbans
Next on my list is Willow farm in London Colney, Willows is huge with anyone in and out of the area and do a great day out with the animals and rides, there is softplay area and it’s always top of my hit list. Their Santa experience is amazing and I would necourage anyone to take a look https://www.willowsactivityfarm.com/
Always a family favourite with us is Santa at Notcutts in Smallford. A bit quieter and tucked away a little so you dont have huge crowds, you book in advance, best to get in early and pick your time slot, we always have a lovely time there with Santa. https://notcutts.digitickets.co.uk/tickets?branches.branchID=510
Finally I love the Christmas Carnival in Harpenden town centre. There is always lots to do, great food and obviously the big man himself. Book here for a great evening out. https://www.harpenden.gov.uk/christmas
I also love this little book, it mentions local places that santa flies over and is a great hit with my kiddies https://www.hometownworld.co.uk/product/santas-sleigh-is-on-its-way-to-hertfordshire/
I hope that helps you all make a really good trip to Santa this year. If anyone has any tried and tested visits please let me know.
I tend to use natural tones in my newborn work but I am always impressed by Lorraine’s newborn photography work in Surrey. . You can find her work here. https://lorraineclaire.com/
